Last week the pupils of Polotsk schools and gymnasium again visited the museum-pedagogical classes in the Museum of Local Lore. This time the students met politely "mistress" of the peasant hut. She was talking about what Belarussians ate and drank hundred years ago, spoke about the traditions and customs associated with a variety of dishes of our ancestors.
Children listened with delight how in the old days people cooked red and green cheese, why it was impossible to make a noise in the house when the bread is baked, find out what people of Belarus was saying about their daily food. At the end of the class the students watched video clip about the participants of the "Club of the bakers," which to this day have kept the secrets of cooking traditional Belarusian dishes.
