On the International Day For Monuments and Sites, April 18, the Museum of the Belarusian Book-Printing hosted a special event, which aim was to promote awareness about the historical and cultural heritage of Polack. Archaeologist and Lead Researcher of PNHCMR Scientific-Restoration Department Alexander Salaŭjoŭ gave a lecture “Dialog About Brick” dedicated to the traditions of brick making in Polack lands. Brick was the main building material for the most of the historical monuments in the city. So the lecturer told about the brick making technologies and their changes depending on the historical circumstances through the centuries.
Besides, the exhibition of building materials from the plinthiform bricks of the St. Sophia Cathedral of the 12th century to the stamped bricks of the early 20th century was represented.
