Festive events on the occasion of the liberation of the city of Gorodok and the Gorodok district from the Fascist invaders.

December 24 was a day with a double holiday for all residents of the Gorodok district, our museum turned 45 years old and in 1943, on December 24, the city of Gorodok was liberated.

Mass commemorative events filled this day, 78 years ago the town of Gorodok and the Gorodok district were liberated from the Fascist invaders on December 31 during the Gorodok offensive operation.

Honored guests took part in the festive events: Bagramyan Ivan Sergeevich - grandson of Marshal of the Soviet Union, twice Hero of the Soviet Union I.H.Bagramyan; Khumaryan Razmik Mkrtichevich - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Belarus; Khechoyan Armen Viktorovich - General Director of the Fund for the Development and Support of Armenian Studies "Aniv"; Terentyev Vladimir Vladimirovich - Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies, Tumanova Tatiana Vladimirovna - Chairman of the Vitebsk regional branch of the NGO "Belarusian Peace Foundation".

We, in turn, hosting the participants of the delegation, told about the progress of the Gorodok offensive operation (developed by I.H. Baghramyan), listened to a poem composed by the teachers of the educational institution "School 1 of the I.H. Baghramyan Town", and also learned about a new project within the framework of the School of Peace on the basis of the first school.
